St Helen's spring rises in a field alongside the road running south from Sherburn village. The water flows from the chalky rubble under the roots of a group of Hawthorn trees and the volume of water is such that a small stream forms within a few yards of the source. This stream in turn flows into a nearby lake. No further details available at present.

Access - The spring is in a fenced field, but it can just
be seen from the roadside. Condition - Good, a spring in its natural state. |
