This holy well was noted whilst browsing the OS
maps, the well is located on St Anne Hill in the grounds of Castle
Howard to the west of York' Hill .
The spring water collects in a covered, stone built chamber and then
flows into the unusual shaped stone trough.
Does anyone have any information about this well?
Access - Castle Howard is open to the public and the well
is near a public footpath, but it may be advisable to enquire about
access.
Condition - Excellent, with a good flow of water.
