The words "Adam's Ale" have been carved on a
large boulder alongside a woodland footpath, just to the south of Brimham
Rocks. Unfortunately for Adam (the biblical first man) there had
been no one before him to discover the art of brewing, so his only drink
was water, hence the kenning -Adam's ale.

Access - The well is located by a public footpath in a
wooded area. Condition - With a little work the water could be made to flow again from under the rock. |
