Back in 1988 there was an old plaque fastened to the wall of this well house. The sign read ......

 Unfortunately by 1999 the sign had gone.
Water to a depth of around 25cm covers the whole floor area inside the well house, which has been built directly over the spring. In places the water can be seen bubbling up through the sandy silt on the floor of the chamber, this bubbling perhaps explains the name Boiling Well.
Access - The well is on the grass verge by the road from Hawsker to Robin Hoods Bay. 
Condition - Good. no real change since 1988. Perhaps the plaque could be restored?.
