This lady well is to be found in a
field of rough pasture on the west side of Goodmanham village, with the
well located in a hollow on the hillside. In the past the water from this
well was apparently used for baptisms in the church, but today the spring
is in a natural state and the water issues from under the roots of a
hawthorn bush (the tree looked pretty much dead on a visit to the well in
September 1999).

Access - A footpath from the village runs close to the
well. Condition - Good, but the Hawthorn tree seems dead. |
